PAYO to sponsor Fall Softball Instructional Clinic for Minors & Majors aged girls

The Pymatuning Area Youth Organization (PAYO) is pleased to announce the formation of the organization's first-ever Fall Softball Instructional Clinic, sponsored by Manners Tree Farm, Dairy Oasis & Pizza Joe's. The Fall softball league is expected to last 6-7 weeks with two weekly practices and games played on Sunday afternoons. It is expected that the practices will start in mid to late August and conclude in mid to late October. This will be open to Minors and Majors softball aged girls (league aged 8-12) or anyone who played for the 2021 PAYO Minors Storm or Venom or the Majors Panthers. Player eligibility is based on a mixture of age and experience level. All players with birthdays in 2008-2012 are automatically eligible regardless of experience. Any player with a 2013 birthday that has played a full season at the Minors level or shows the ability to handle that level of play is also eligible, but this needs to be approved by our staff. In addition, anyone who did not play during our 2021 season will have to sign a waiver to ensure they have insurance coverage as PAYO's insurance ONLY covers our Spring/Summer 2021 rostered players.

The Fall Softball Instructional Clinic will be overseen by Luke Jernigan, Head Coach of the Minors Venom & PAYO's 9-11 year old District Champions, with assistance from Chad and Cara Richardson of the Majors Panthers and various other experienced coaches from the area. We will focus on the fundamentals of the game and specific in-game situations to better prepare our girls for future softball play. Games are expected to be against other local leagues and will be determined by league participation and the number of players who sign up.

Registration for the 2021 Fall Softball Instructional Clinic, sponsored by Manners Tree Farm, Dairy Oasis & Pizza Joe's, is now open on our Website, payobaseball.com, by logging into your account and viewing the available programs for your specific child. For first-time users of our Website, simply create an account and add your child's info, and from there you can determine their eligibility. Questions can be directed to Luke by emailing him at payo (at) payobaseball.com.
