PV 8-10 Minors Softball Eliminates Cuyahoga Falls

Pymatuning Valley Little League 8-10 Minors Softball All-Star team eliminated Cuyahoga Falls All-Star team on July 1st, by a final score of 7-6.

The PV All-Star team (1-1), bounced back after their opening round loss to Kingsville on Sunday, June 30th and knocked Cuyahoga Falls (0-2) out of the final District 1 tournament.

PV was led by outstanding pitching by Alexandria Creed, base running, and patience in the batter's box. Haylee Meigs & Kenedee Romanowski each stole two bases along with Aubrey Belconis, Alexandria Creed, Bella Beight, and Harper Drapp each swiping one bag. PV was patient at the plate tonight with a team combined 10 walks as Cuyahoga Falls struggled to find the strike zone. Bella Beight led the way with 3 walks, Hadley Hayes 2 walks, along with Kenedee Romanowski, Khylie Stroke, Eva Martin, Aubrey Belconis, and Harper Drapp each with 1 walk.

Alexandria Creed pitched a complete game for PV from the mound and had the entire Cuyahoga Falls offense off tilt. Alexandria threw 71 of 110 pitches (64.55%) for strikes and finished the game with a stat line of 6.0ip 6h 3er 4bb 10k, which was enough to secure the win.

Along with fantastic pitching from Alexandria (.600), she also went 2/3 from the plate this evening with 3 RBIs. Matching the offensive production was Kenedee Romanowski (.667) who went 2/2 with 2 RBIs, and finally Hadley Hayes (.667) also knocked in a run with 1 RBI.

The PV 8-10 All-Stars (1-1) will take on the rematch versus Kingsville's All-Stars (1-1) again on Tuesday, July 2nd 6pm at the Kingsville Little League Park.
