PV 8-10 Minors All-Stars Eliminates Ashtabula

PV 8-10 Minors Softball All-Stars (2-1) eliminated Ashtabula All-Stars (1-2) from District 1 tournament play this evening, July 1, by a final score of 24-4.

The PV Lakers All-Stars jumped out early with their bats totaling 14 hits in 20 at bats with 13 walks.  Aubrey Belconis led the start with a single smacked into right field.  Followed by a Hadley Hayes single in the gap between third base and shortstop to set the stage for an absolute bomb of a triple to the fence by Eva Martin.  The Lakers All-Stars continued to roll offensively from there.

Mackenzie Barricklow got the start for the All-Stars from the pitching rubber and earned the win as pitcher of record.  She finished with 2.0ip 0h 1er 4bb 5k and was relieved for the final inning by Viviana Rizzo who finished the game up with a stat line of 1.0ip 0h 3er 4bb 1k.

The PV All-Stars (2-1) will take on Kingsville All-Stars (2-1) on July 3rd.
